Thistle Bookmark

True Scots appreciate the beauty of Thistles for many reasons. The chief among these is an old tale of how Northern Invaders tried an ambush on Scottish soil in the dead of night. Not knowing the true nature of the lovely thistle, the would be assassins foolish waded through a thick thistle patch. Their anguished cries woke the local Scotsmen who promptly dispatched the invaders after enjoying a hearty chuckle.
