Amnesty International Tartan Fabric

Amnesty International is the largest human rights organisation in the world and the first to have its own Tartan. Consulted by the United Nations and a Nobel Peace Prize winner, Amnesty International is supported by more than a million members world wide. The Amnesty tartan began life in 2001 in the mind of a determined Scottish member called Billy Scobie, whose dream was that Amnesty should have a celebratory tartan in its 40th year. He sought and found a Mr James D Scarlett, one of the leading authorities in tartan design. Billy then led Amnesty to one of the foremost weavers of tartan, Lochcarron of Scotland, and the rest - as they say - is history. Reiver 10oz Tartan Fabric, sold by the Yard , 150cm wide.
